The primary responsibility of this position is to provide assistance to the Support Service Section of the United States Attorney's Office. Responsibilities include processing supply requests, receiving deliveries, setting up audio and visual equipment, maintaining a log-in system for housekeeping and facilities maintenance requests, processing outgoing hand deliveries, purchasing supplies, answering telephones, receiving visitors, opening and distributing mail, maintaining an inventory of property, and producing written documents.
Requirements include specialized experience in office tasks such as greeting visitors, answering phones, sorting mail, maintaining supply rooms, and preparing documents. For the GS-5, applicants must have at least one year of experience equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or 4 years of education above high school. For the GS-6, applicants must have at least one year of experience equivalent to the GS-5 grade level. For the GS-7, applicants must have at least one year of experience equivalent to the GS-6 grade level. Typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute is required.
