Senior Systems Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Systems Engineer with deep Azure expertise to help design, implement, and support cloud-first infrastructure for our enterprise environment. This role is a great fit for someone who thrives at the intersection of systems engineering and cloud architecture, with a passion for building secure, scalable, and highly available environments in Azure.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design, deployment, and management of Azure cloud infrastructure, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
• Build and manage Azure Active Directory, identity & access management, conditional access, and security policies.
• Implement and optimize Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, VPNs, ExpressRoute, load balancers, firewalls).
• Automate provisioning and configuration using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
• Monitor and maintain Azure environments with tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Sentinel.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to migrate workloads and applications to Azure.
• Ensure systems meet security, compliance, and disaster recovery requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and act as a subject matter expert for all things Azure.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer, with at least 3+ years focused on Azure.
• Hands-on expertise in Azure IaaS/PaaS, Active Directory, identity & access, and networking.
• Strong knowledge of PowerShell scripting and/or automation with Terraform/Bicep.
• Experience supporting hybrid environments (Azure + on-prem).
• Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization (AKS, Docker).
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• VMware, Cisco, or other infrastructure certifications a plus
