Senior Systems Engineer

You will be a member of a multi-disciplinary group of System, Hardware and Software Engineers. The Protected Communication Systems (PCS) team is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to support programs for our US military and various international customers, keeping the world safe from foreign threats.

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be a member of a team supporting communication system testing. Your responsibilities include: supporting efforts with cross-functional team members to ensure system compatibility and performance, conducting system-level testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure reliability and functionality for multiple yearly releases of software solutions, performing dry run and formal testing (manual and automated) on new software builds in the lab, supporting analysis of software issues and enhancements to drive test updates, and working closely with software personnel to document issues found during testing.

Qualifications you must have include: ability to analyze system level requirements and specifications, prior testing experience, ability to learn communication and networking hardware and software, proficiency in problem/failure analysis and documentation, ability to participate in technical discussion with an integrated product team that works in a fast-paced environment, and typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.

Qualifications we prefer include: Linux knowledge, DOORS knowledge, EasyBI knowledge, experience in product installations and testing, voice communication systems, including VoIP (Voice over IP) protocols like SIP, understanding of networking principles (Cisco and Juniper switches), including TCP/IP, UDP, and network troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark), familiar with Robot Framework and Python (scripting/test automation), and active Secret clearance.
