Security Software Engineer

A client of Insight Global's is seeking a seasoned Software Engineer who has evolved into a security-focused role. This position is primarily hands-on coding, with approximately 25% of the time spent in cross-functional meetings involving software engineering, data engineering, security, and infrastructure teams. Initially, this person will collaborate closely with the security team to bridge gaps between development and implementation, particularly around software supply chain remediation. Once that foundation is established, the focus will shift back to customer engineering, emphasizing innovation and application development. The role is hybrid and requires this person to be on-site two days per week.

Skills and Requirements:

• 5+ years of Software Engineering
• 4+ years in Java (any version)
• 1+ years in security (certifications, no specific tools, anything that demonstrates concepts mastered)
• In-depth understanding of CI/CD concepts & tools (Jenkins, GitHub, etc)
• Kubernetes
• Bamboo
• Xray or dependency check (or similar tools)
• Implementation of SBOM & remediation of security findings in SDLC
• Security related certifications
• Openshift
• Angular (any version)
• Python
