Network Security Engineer

We're seeking a Network Security Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in protecting and securing enterprise networks and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PCI compliance, cloud security, firewall management, and security monitoring tools, with the ability to both design secure architectures and implement best practices across on-prem and cloud systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with PCI DSS standards, maintaining security documentation, policies, and procedures.
• Design, implement, and manage cloud security across GCP and AWS environments.
• Analyze and document data flows to identify risks and enforce secure communication paths.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls, ensuring optimal performance and security posture.
• Automate security processes using PowerShell scripting and other scripting languages.
• Monitor and respond to vulnerabilities using tools such as Tenable, StackDriver, and Splunk.
• Administer and harden Linux systems within hybrid cloud infrastructures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT and security teams to drive security initiatives and resolve incidents.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Network Security Engineer or in a related security-focused role.
• Strong knowledge of PCI compliance standards and security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS) and cloud security controls.
• Proficiency in Palo Alto firewall configuration and management.
• Scripting experience with PowerShell (Python/Bash a plus).
• Familiarity with security tools such as Tenable, StackDriver, and Splunk.
• Linux administration and security hardening experience.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to write clear, concise security documentation.
• Relevant certifications a plus (CISSP, CISM, CCSP, Palo Alto, AWS/GCP security certs).
