Process Engineer

Process Engineering Design Position

This position is responsible for performing the process engineering design functions. These include the design of combustion and steam turbine auxiliary systems, process equipment, process control/instrumentation design integration and start-up support. The designs must meet contract and schedule requirements for MHPSA's power projects in the Americas. Candidates need to possess effective organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. This position requires an individual who is a self-starter and can work with minimal supervision.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare heat and material balances
• Develop PFDs
• Develop P&IDs
• Develop process data sheets for equipment (Heat Exchangers, Pumps, Compressors, etc.)
• Understanding of process instrumentation and control principles
• Able to perform and review hydraulic calculations
• Control valve specification and selection
• Heat exchanger thermal calculations
• Pump sizing
• Basic understanding of design work processes and workflow

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Tools: Aspen HYSYS software (any Chemical engineer should have this)
• Smartplant P&ID is not required but that's plus
• Can be either Chemical or Mechanical Engineer
• Do not need to have power industry experience

Experience Level: Intermediate Level

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr. 17 days of PTO, 11 paid holidays, unlimited sick time, 100% match of the first 6%, three different health plans to choose from, dental, vision, life insurance, many other optional benefits.

Workplace Type: This is a hybrid position in LAKE MARY, FL.
