Ops Senior Registered Nurse Supervisor

Incumbent reports to the Director of Nursing and will provide quality professional care to our American Heroes to ensure their health, safety, and security in accordance with established agency Standard Operating Procedures and Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities include:

• Administration of medications and treatments per MD order
• Monitoring and providing interventions to meet the needs of the resident
• Completing accurate clinical documentation reflective of resident's status
• Providing supervision and guidance to the RN, LPN, CNA, and other health care professionals
• Ensuring that the nursing personnel are following their job descriptions and that the residents are receiving total nursing care
• Receiving notices of absences when nursing staff calls off, and coordinating assignments to maintain regulatory compliance and meet the needs of the residents
• Notifying the Administrator and/or DON of any emergency situations in the building
• Making daily rounds to observe residents and to determine if nursing needs are being met
• Observing all nursing staff giving care at least once during an eight-hour shift
• Maintaining the standards of nursing care and implementing the policies and procedures of the facility and nursing department
• Following all local, state, and federal rules and regulations
• Assisting in review of policies and procedures
• Ensuring that reference material at the nurses' stations is current
• Making recommendations to DON for improved and/or additional items
• Reviewing and follow-up incidents and/or complaints occurring on assigned tour of duty
• Completing reports and forwarding to DON
• Giving Basic Life Support (CPR) when necessary
• Assisting DON in ensuring that all assessments are completed prior to the Interdisciplinary Resident Care Plan Committee meeting
• Checking all documentation related to assessment for those residents scheduled for IDT
• Ensuring that any incomplete documentation is finished within twenty-four (24) hours of a scheduled IDT Conference
• Participating in economical utilization of supplies and ensuring that equipment is maintained in a clean and safe manner
• Assisting with or instituting emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents such as cardiac arrest
• Participating in the maintenance of a clean and safe environment
• Actively participating in continuing educational programs for self-development and in overall quality improvement programs
• Performing other related duties, including special projects, as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must possess a current Florida Registered Nurse License
• Must possess a current CPR certification
• Must have supervisory nursing experience
• Must be willing and able to work evening, night, weekend and holidays as required
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word)
• Successful completion of the due diligence process, to include but not limited to, a Level II Background check and drug screen

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in long-term care or 120 bed skilled nursing facility
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records
• Experience with medication administration
