This is a full-time other personal services (OPS) position with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service. The incumbent coordinates emergency response operations, including fire suppression, through the use of a communications center. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of experience in radio-teletype operations, law enforcement, dispatching, forestry, firefighting, or other public contact work. Occasional travel for training is required, and the position may respond to emergencies, including natural disasters or other incidents requiring travel, as needed.
