The work you will do: Ops Accountant III - This position will audit and process payments using statewide and agency unique accounting systems. Through cooperation, coordination and collaboration among the OneFDOT team, you will be contributing to a strong and empowering culture of TRREC: Trust, Relationships, Respect, Empowerment, and Communication.

Your specific responsibilities include: auditing payment documents including utility invoice transmittals, right of way invoices and individual reimbursement vouchers for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Florida Statutes, Florida Administrative Code, directives, policies, procedures, and generally accepted accounting principles; auditing and processing purchasing card charges daily in compliance with Purchasing Card Procedure 350-030-010-f; reconciling the Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR) payment voucher schedules to the pending vendor invoices; identifying the sampled vouchers required for auditing by the Department of Financial Services (DFS) and preparing voucher schedules and supporting documentation for submission to DFS; and providing customer service to internal customers and conducting periodic training on related functions.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of Microsoft Excel, office procedures and practices, and accounting principles, practices and procedures; skills in good customer service, auditing, and organizing records, handling multiple tasks, and handling interruptions; and the ability to follow oral and written instructions, communicate effectively orally and in writing, and analyze transactions and reconcile accounting records.
