Insurance Customer Service Representative

Location: Troy, MI and Daytona Beach, FL

Pay Rate: $17/hour for English speakers, $18.50/hour for Spanish bilingual speakers

Start Date: January 2025

Training Schedule:

  • First 4 weeks: Fully remote, Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Weeks 5–8: Fully onsite for nesting and live calls

Post-Training Schedule:

  • 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM or 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Hybrid: 2 days onsite, 3 days remote (based on adherence, quality, and attendance)

Responsibilities:

  • Handle 40–50 inbound calls daily related to new or existing homeowners' claims
  • Answer questions such as claim status and perform claim intake (calls may last up to an hour)
  • Provide professional, accurate, and empathetic support
  • Apply strong problem-solving and resolution skills

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of recent customer service experience (call center preferred; front desk/admin considered)
  • Proficient in Windows PC navigation and software systems
  • Typing speed: 35 WPM or higher
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Reliable internet connection for remote work
  • Reliable transportation for onsite requirements

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Daytona Beach, FL.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
