Infrastructure Project Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Infrastructure Project Engineer to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will be responsible for leading IT infrastructure projects that involve server deployments, network configurations, and Office 365 migrations. This role requires a proactive, hands-on approach to delivering technical solutions while collaborating directly with clients to ensure project success.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage IT infrastructure projects such as server installations, upgrades, and domain migrations.
  • Configure and deploy Office 365 environments, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Design and implement secure network solutions, including firewalls, switches, wireless systems, and VPN configurations.
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues and perform technical upgrades as part of project execution.
  • Work closely with clients to gather requirements, create implementation plans, and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to entry-level engineers during project tasks and implementations.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and project outcomes in appropriate systems.
  • Ensure all projects are completed on schedule, within defined scope, and aligned with client objectives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of IT experience, including at least 2 years in a project engineering role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft technologies such as Windows Server, Active Directory, and Office 365 migrations.
  • Advanced knowledge of networking concepts, including routing, switching, and firewall configuration.
  • Hands-on experience with SonicWall and Ubiquiti devices is highly preferred.
  • Strong ability to lead technical projects from initial planning to successful completion.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Self-driven and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as Azure Active Directory, Citrix, Intune, and Microsoft Exchange.
