Geotechnical Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Geotechnical Engineer to join a dynamic and fast-growing engineering firm based in Ft. Lauderdale. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of private sector projects—including commercial developments, residential buildings, high-rise structures, and industrial facilities—across South Florida. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will manage multiple projects simultaneously, conduct field data analysis, and produce high-quality technical reports. You'll collaborate closely with field technicians, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project success. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a small business environment, values autonomy, and is eager to contribute to a team that prioritizes communication, initiative, and technical excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple geotechnical projects simultaneously.
  • Conduct field data analysis and produce technical reports.
  • Collaborate with field technicians, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Contribute to a team-oriented environment that values communication and technical excellence.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in geotechnical, civil, or structural engineering.
  • Experience in report writing.
  • Field data analysis skills.
  • Strong verbal communication abilities.
  • EIT certification or progress towards obtaining it.
  • Civil engineering knowledge.
  • Proactive attitude and strong communication skills.
  • Familiarity with CAD is a plus.
  • Professional engineering certification preferred.
  • Ability to operate in a small business environment.
  • The potential to bring client relationships is advantageous.

Work Environment:

The position is based in Ft. Lauderdale with flexible working hours (7 am–4 pm, 8 am–5 pm, or 9 am–6 pm). The role is primarily office-based with occasional site visits to project locations, mainly in Broward and Dade counties, with some projects extending to WPB and beyond. The work setting offers a flexible and entrepreneurial environment with a tight-knit team of 23 employees. Although no company truck is provided, the environment encourages professional growth and meaningful contributions.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00/yr.

Paid Holidays: Includes New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrued weekly, with a maximum of 140 hours. PTO can be paid out as cash with approval.

Retirement Savings: Simple IRA: Company matches up to 3% of employee contributions.

Long-Term Disability: 60% of monthly salary, up to $3,000/month, starts on day 91, pays up to 5 years.

Workplace Type: This is a fully onsite position in Coral Springs, FL.
