Food Support Worker (Dish Room)

Specific duties and responsibilities include:
- Lifting, pulling, and squatting.
- Setting up dish machine for daily tasks.
- Washing breakfast trays and carts, lunch trays, carts, pots and pans, evening meal trays and carts.
- Disassembling and cleaning dish machine and dish room. Reassembling dish machine for washing breakfast, lunch, and evening meal trays.
- Preparing AM, PM, and HS snacks and helping support tray line.
- Washing lunch trays, carts, and pots and pans.
- Attending inservice training and meetings as assigned.
- Following and carrying out Florida State Hospital/Unit/Department safety practices and policies.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position include:
- Knowledge of the equipment, procedures, and techniques used in cooking, baking, and/or meat cutting.
- Knowledge of the procedures for maintaining sanitary working conditions.
- Ability to perform food service functions in one or more of the following areas: cooking, baking, or meat cutting.
- Ability to read and follow recipes and/or other instructions.
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Minimum qualifications:
- One year of food service experience; or
- Completion of a program of study from a vocational/technical school in a food service area.
