Duties and Responsibilities: Government Operations Consultant I is a professional position with subject matter expertise in administering federal grant programs. The incumbent demonstrates exceptional customer service, accountability, adaptability, dependability, initiative, and exemplary personal conduct and professional relationships, all which are core values of the Division and the Department of State. This is a full-time position assigned with review of grant applications, and duties to compile and file federal reports, conduct risk assessments and communicate timely and effectively with upper management regarding the status of funds, reporting and preparing charts, visuals, tables, etc, and:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of accounting principles; methods of compiling and analyzing data. Knowledge of general grant systems, receiving, payments, audits, and compliance. Knowledge of general office procedures. Ability to work independently and prepare routine correspondence. Ability to collect, evaluate & analyze data. Ability to write clearly with minimal errors. Knowledge of all Microsoft programs, People First and state personnel policies and procedures. Secretarial or clerical work experience. Ability to work under deadlines and pressure. Ability to work independently. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Skills with preparing training/recordings.
