Director Nursing Systems Staffing & Operations Summary:
- Provides direction and oversight within Nursing Patient Care Services systems in developing, implementing, and monitoring strategic long-range financial planning, forecasting, and optimizing resource management.
- Utilizing clinical and financial outcome data performs complex financial analyses to assist Patient Care Services systems to achieve and maintain established financial targets and operational performance.
- Identifies opportunities for performance improvement, cost reductions and streamline clinical and business processes.
- Coordinates the development, administration, and management of Patient Care Services system productivity targets (staffing plans, unit matrix) and provides resources and tools to nursing leaders.
- Utilizes benchmarking and decision support data to improve productivity and profitability for the organization.
- Collaborates with managers, directors, administrators, regional and system chief nursing officers to provide strategic planning and support in staffing resource management.
- Provides consulting, strategy, and recommendations in support of system-wide staffing initiatives and standardization.
- Responsible for oversight and leadership for the staffing resource office.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required Education:
- MSN or BSN and Master's Degree in related field.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in healthcare leadership in an acute care setting AND 3 years experience in strategic planning, education, budgeting, and business planning in an acute care setting.
- Also requires analytical and technological experience/expertise.
- Preferred experience includes experience and comprehensive understanding of hospital operations, clinical delivery systems, and health care finance.
Required Credentials:
- Required - RN (Registered Nurse) - License; Nursing Administration Certification is Preferred.
