This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at the Region 1 Office of Community Corrections. The mission of a Correctional Services Consultant in Community Corrections is to enhance public safety by providing expert guidance and support to community correctional programs. This includes promoting evidence-based practices, facilitating offender rehabilitation and reintegration, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders to achieve effective and sustainable outcomes. This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

Job Duties

• Lead Operational Excellence: Provide administrative oversight to enhance accountability and standardize processes, assisting the Regional Director with critical operational issues to ensure public safety.
• Drive Re-Entry Success: Coordinate and assist with re-entry efforts, conduct case management reviews, and respond to communications related to community corrections, ensuring smooth transitions and compliance.
• Monitor and Improve Compliance: Oversee caseload management and program reports, serve as a liaison for re-entry efforts, and recommend updates to policies and procedures to maintain high standards.
• Ensure ACA Accreditation: Act as the Regional ACA Coordinator, conducting preparatory reviews, providing accreditation training, and ensuring accurate documentation for ACA audits.
• Support and Train Staff: Provide operational training, conduct research, analyze data, and prepare quality assurance reports, while also being ready to assist as an auxiliary certified probation officer during emergencies.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid driver license.
• Must possess a total of eight (8) years of FDC community corrections experience.
• Must possess a current Florida Certification as a Correctional Probation Officer in good standing.
• Must possess a bachelor's degree.
• Support of knowledge, skills, and abilities should be demonstrated on the application, in the education, in the work experience, in the work sample, in the interview and/or during reference checks.
