Computer Support Specialist

Amentum is seeking a Computer Support Specialist to provide support for a position located at Tyndall AFB, FL. Responsibilities include specifying, installing, configuring, tracking, and maintaining operating system workstations and peripherals. Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages. Performs software license manager duties for processing equipment. Plans, schedules, and performs installations and upgrades and maintains systems in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. Responsible for conducting routine hardware and software audits of workstations to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines. Develops and maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation. Troubleshoots computer hardware, software, or network. Installs new software on user's computers. Cleans, upgrades, and repairs computer hardware including monitors, keyboards, and printers. Provides timely customer service in response to phone calls or emails for issues related to Air Force and Company systems. Documents receipt of all calls and requests in the government approved case tracking system, logs details of the situation, and determines the severity of the problem. Provides status as required. Furnishes users with routine information, such as how-to tutorials and information after system or software changes. Dispatches or routes problems to appropriate resources and continues to track issues/problems through resolution. Analyzes trouble tickets to determine trends, issues, and develop preventative measures. Must maintain an active IAT Level 2 or higher cyber security certification. Performs computer and peripheral equipment tracking and inventories. Performs other duties and related tasks within their classification as assigned by supervisors.

Minimum education and experience required include an IT related associate degree and at least 6 years of computer support related experience, preferably in a customer support role. Management may allow additional years of work experience to be substituted for degree. IAT Level 2 or higher cyber security certification is required. Secret security clearance is required. Applicants selected must be a US citizen in order to apply for a Secret Security Clearance. Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout the duration of employment.

Additional responsibilities include a work week that may shift to other days due to mission requirements. Report time to work varies depending upon mission schedule. Some overtime will be required. Must be able to lift or move at least 50lbs. Must have a valid driver's license to drive to different work centers.
