Cloud Security Engineer (Advisory Specialist)

As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will primarily conduct advisory workshops aimed at improving the cloud security strategies of our clients. Your role involves helping organizations with young cloud security postures understand and implement security standards relevant to their critical business workloads. This individual must be willing to obtain Security Clearance upon hire (paid for by company).

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading workshops to assess and bolster the cloud security practices of customers.
• Providing expertise on Cloud Security Posture Assessment concepts.
• Guiding alignment with industry standards including CIS, OWASP, NIST, and ISO 27001.
• Crafting and delivering tailored recommendations and practical security implementations.
• Developing and presenting customized security strategies and roadmaps.
• Collaborating with clients to establish cloud security best practices and compliance goals.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of cloud security trends and technologies.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud security.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with Cloud Security Posture Assessment and relevant frameworks (CIS, OWASP, NIST, ISO 27001).
• Proven ability to apply industry standards to various business workloads.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, apt at conveying complex security ideas to non-experts.
• Self-motivated with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently.
• Willing to go through Security Clearance process upon hire (paid for by company).

Preferred certifications: (Must be willing to complete upon hire if not already obtained) Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP, CISM, or similar cloud security certifications.

The base salary range for this position is $92,250-$125,000, plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to operate a computer, keyboard, telephone, headset, and other office equipment. Work is generally sedentary in nature.
