Application Engineer

As an Application Engineer, you will collaborate closely with the Business Unit Manager and Business Development Manager to develop and execute strategic plans aimed at winning new business opportunities. You will serve as the primary customer interface throughout the business cycle, fostering strong relationships and influencing purchase decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Track new business opportunities and manage the new business pipeline.
• Drive opportunities through the sales funnel with the support of the Business Unit Manager and sales team.
• Represent the company at trade shows, customer events, conventions, conferences, and seminars to increase brand exposure and publicize new products and services.
• Meet with customers to understand their requirements, assist in specification development, share technical information, and promote the value of the company and its products.
• Develop an understanding of each account, including contacts, current product needs, future requirements, and procurement and selection processes.
• Provide written trip reports and meeting minutes as necessary.
• Plan and organize your travel schedule using a Time and Territory Management tool.
• Contribute to sales forecasting, annual and long-term business planning, and product line strategy development.
• Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting as requested by the Business Unit Manager and Vice President of Sales.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in New Product Development, Design, and Testing.
• Experience with Sales and Customer Facing Roles.
• Project management skills.
• Knowledge of Brushless Motors and Actuators.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering or Business.
• 3-6 years of experience within manufacturing.
• Experience in highly regulated environments.
• Aerospace or space background.
• Sales or Applications experience.

Work Environment:

This position requires working in an onsite environment with approximately 35% travel, both internationally and domestically, to attend trade shows and visit client facilities. Flexibility is offered to work outside the office when travel plans are scheduled. This role provides an exciting opportunity to impact space exploration with cutting-edge products used in satellites and aircraft.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Deerfield Beach, FL.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $72.11/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
