This Accounting Services Administrator position is within the Financial Accounting and Fixed Assets section of the Bureau of Accounting and is responsible for performing a wide variety of accounting and reconciliation functions. Her/his duties will include oversight responsibility of the Department's Fleet program in accordance with F.A.C. 60B and Chapter 287; maintenance of the property accounting sub-system; supervising the preparation, processing, and approval of subrogating automobile accidents involving department vehicles; and maintaining accurate and current records on department insurance policies.
Responsibility also includes coordinating and overseeing divisions/personnel regarding the annual inventory process for the agency and facilitating the sale of surplus property via online auction process. Also, managing contracts and grants for billing and reimbursement request.
The elements of the selection process may include a skill assessment and/or oral interview. Applicants being considered for employment will be required to submit to a fingerprint-based background investigation, which will include a check of the criminal history records of the FBI. Fingerprints and associated information/biometrics will be retained in the FBI's Next Generation Identification (NGI) system and fingerprints may continue to be compared against fingerprints submitted to or retained by NGI.
FLHSMV employees are paid once a month on the last workday of each month. All state employees are required to participate in the direct deposit program pursuant to s. 110.113 Florida Statutes.
