This is an onsite role based in Goleta, CA, with limited or no relocation assistance available.
Serve as technical leader for one or more interdisciplinary teams focused on development of new thermal-imaging products. The role requires broad knowledge of infrared imaging systems, outstanding communication & interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated facility for leading a team through all phases of development. The Systems Engineer serves as primary technical authority, responsible for defining and realizing state-of-the-art thermal-imaging products.
Define and manage systems requirements, verify the eventual design complies with them
Perform and document market research and system-level trades to optimize system architecture; define innovative solutions to complex technical challenges
Manage technical risks, integrate and test product designs, and troubleshoot / resolve unexpected problems
Coordinate with product management, design engineers, production personnel, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure achievement of technical milestones
Collaborate with other systems engineers in peer-reviews, in optimizing best practices, and in coaching / training activities with R&D cycle
Salary Range: $90,800.00-$121,100.00
