Job Summary
General Purpose: Responsible for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods for testing and troubleshooting systems, software, and equipment.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Coordinate and guide engineering and technical teams in the design and fabrication of test equipment and systems.
- Oversee development, procurement, installation, and calibration of test instruments and devices.
- Interface with engineering and technical teams to resolve testing issues and system malfunctions.
- Analyze and interpret test data; prepare technical reports for engineering and management.
- Develop or use software and hardware tools to execute tests on products and systems.
- Train technicians and operators on test processes, equipment, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Identify root causes of test yield issues and implement corrective actions (CAPA).
- Support equipment verification, integration, and production readiness.
- Create and maintain process and test documentation.
- Identify and evaluate new testing technologies and methodologies.
- Define test conditions, sequences, and operational phases.
Requirements:
- Completed university degree.
- Advanced English.
- 1–2 years of experience in telecommunications and networking.
- Certifications: CCNA (required) / CCNP (preferred).
- Knowledge of networking protocols: BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS.
- Experience debugging using commands such as:
- show tech-support
- show version
- show interfaces
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of:
- TCP/IP, VLANs, Routing & Switching
- Experience with Cisco equipment (routers, switches, platforms).
- CLI experience (Linux or Cisco IOS/XR/NX-OS).
- Knowledge of hardware components (boards, DIMMs, optics, line cards).
- Experience with stress, thermal, or environmental testing.
- Familiarity with tools such as JTAG and serial console.
- Experience with test frameworks or automated test stations.
- Experience in manufacturing or testing environments.
- Automation skills (Python, Bash, or scripting) are a strong plus.
