Supplier Quality Engineer
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Supplier Quality Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.
Reporting to the Sr Director, Quality the Supplier Quality Engineer role is responsible for ensuring quality, safety, capability, delivery, environmental, and customer-specific requirements. This role drives continuous improvement, risk management, and overall performance of the supply base.
What a typical day looks like:
- Collects and comprehends external and internal customers' expectations or feedback on supplier quality and participates with other top management personnel and cross functional teams in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, innovation plans, and goals for supplier quality.
- Explores, evaluates, and presents information concerning factors related to suppliers and components such as new regulations, cost of quality, suppliers' risks, supplier's performance, and proposals to other members of management team.
- Participates with material or purchasing team to establish the supplier quality requirements.
- Guides SQE team to evaluate, develop, and monitor suppliers and components to ensure they comply with Flex requirements and customer requirements on safety, quality, capability, delivery, environment, society regulation, etc.
- Guides SQE team to measure and track suppliers' performance and to drive problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Establishes and maintains the supplier quality management process and tools, and trains SQEs and all peers to ensure compliance of the supplier quality process.
- Dedicates cross-functional help and forms good relationships with internal and external customers in order to maintain a strong help system in the organization, to achieve customer satisfaction and to comply with regulatory requirements.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- BA/BS as an industrial engineer, or similar.
- Strong background in supplier quality engineering within the electronics manufacturing industry.
- Advanced English skills.
- Supplier management and negotiations experience.
- Knowledge of KPI analysis (RMB, RTV)
- Experience with corrective and preventive actions & risk management
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge of dependent demand and independent demand.
- Availability to travel.
