SMT Process Engineer

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a SMT Process Engineer located in Jiading, Shanghai.

This position will be responsible for providing SMT-related technical support to R&D and SMT production to facilitate design for manufacturing in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Develop and implement cost effective, efficient production processes for the Introduction of New Product.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Be actively involved in new platform and maintenance product designing phase to providing SMT related technical proposal.
  • Early involved in new components designing and final verification.
  • Collaborate with R&D to provide constructive proposals on PCB layout and design issues from initial build through implementation, driving necessary changes and continuously improving quality and performance.
  • Drive and performed DFM activities to facilitate manufacturing in prototype and pre-series test run even further mass production.
  • Support SMT engineering for performing professional root cause analysis in mass production.
  • Introduce advanced manufacturing technology, concept into SMT production within Flex to achieve manufacturing excellence.
  • Evaluate and introduce new SMT equipment aligned with business requirements. Validate and qualify production lines to enhance productivity.
  • Provide consultation from technical point of view to high-level decision makers and other Flex power module organizations based on his/her competence and responsibilities.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • University degree or above in areas of Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, etc.
  • Profound knowledge and skills on SMT related production and practice of Power Modules as per process, productivity, Industrial Engineering or Lean Production.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Flex power module products and processes is preferred.
  • Several years working experience as Production Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Process Engineer, or Mechanical Engineer in electronics manufacturing is preferred.
  • Independent self-motivated and well organized with analytical mind.
  • Good communication skill and project management skill.
  • Fluent English in Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt is preferred.
  • Automatic experiences, Agile system and Minitab skill are preferred.
