Process Engineer
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Process Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.
Reporting to the Equipment Maintenance Manager the Process Engineer is responsible for process-engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality, and delivery improvements to support a manufacturing organization.
What a typical day looks like:
- Design, implement, and optimize mechanical assembly processes.
- Define and validate process parameters for heavy mechanical and automated assemblies.
- Develop and maintain process documentation and work instructions.
- Evaluate and implement automation solutions for assembly fixtures (including PLC systems, cranes, and automated tools).
- Support new equipment introduction and ensure proper integration into production lines.
- Troubleshoot process-related issues and provide effective solutions.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, and cost reduction.
- Prepare justification and manage procurement of capital equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and interact with customers and suppliers for technical requirements.
- Train production personnel during new process implementation and technology transfer.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and manufacturing best practices.
- Utilize design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for fixture and process design (preferred).
- Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes (SMT/PTH) is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of preparing presentations for management.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
- Experience Sr in a similar position.
- Experience as Process Engineer in the electronics or sheet metal manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of the complete Mechanical and Automated Assemblies process.
- Experience in SMT and PTH process is a plus.
- Communications skills.
- Conversational English.
- People management.
- Experience in personnel management.
- Available to travel (5% per year)
