Material Coordinator Operations

Job Summary

Shift: 6:00am - 6:00pm CST. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, every other Wednesday.

Core Responsibilities:

• Request quotes from approved suppliers and submits to purchasing.
• Compare vendor pricing, lead times, and warranty terms.
• Maintain relationships with OEMs and third-party vendors.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and change control procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels and restock as needed.
• Perform cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
• Respond to internal requests for parts and provide status updates.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong Excel proficiency.
• Familiarity with SAP system.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills.

Qualifications:

• Typically requires completion of secondary school, vocational training, or equivalent with experience in the use of computer applications.
• Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of administrative experience within the materials, planning or related function.
• Use of the following tools may be required: Office skills: typing, telephones, office software to include, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation packages and database systems, Experience in the use of computer applications, Inventory experience, BAAN or any ERP experience, Inventory cycle count.
• Demonstrates functional skills. Demonstrates basic functional process knowledge and participates in process improvement.
