Technician, It Support
The Technician, IT Support will be based in Austin, TX. This role will be in charge of installing and helping desktop/laptop hardware and software, computers peripherals, office printers and maintain PC assets.
1st Shift: 6:00am-2:30pm (Monday-Friday) Responsibilities:
- Performs the installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of personal computer and related systems.
- Configures cellular phones for end users to meet corporate specifications.
- Assists in determining suitable software to meet user requirements.
- Manages required supplies for printers (not to include paper).
- Installs software, patches, and updates on desktops, laptops.
- Keeps accurate tracking of all assets supported by Deskside.
- Maintains PC assets in both a physical and logical manner and maintains its accurate tracking.
- Provides 1st line technical support for end-user’s computers hardware and software, printers, and its network connectivity.
- Troubleshoots software and hardware failures and identifies network problems when they relate to personal (desktop or laptop) end-user’s computers.
- Assists Network Administrator/Analyst to troubleshoot end-users’ network-related issues.
- Interacts with vendors to facilitate repairs of hardware, i.e., printers, laptops, and desktops.
Qualifications:
- An associate degree is preferred or equivalent experience and training.
- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Working knowledge of PC architecture.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows 10 and 11.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Mac OS, Android, and iOS.
- Advanced knowledge of imaging processes used for deployment of PCs in standard environments.
- Considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations.
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer a plus.
- May assist in developing goals/targets of site. Recommendations typically affect Site or BU level.
