We're seeking an operationally minded VP of Engineering to lead all aspects of software engineering, security and data. This critical role reports directly to the CEO and will be instrumental in building and nurturing a thriving remote-first culture as the company scales. The VP Engineering will be responsible for setting the culture and cadence for the engineering team, fostering a strong culture, increasing product velocity, and achieving schedule predictability as the company moves forward with their growth targets.
Responsibilities:
Determine Technical Vision
Understand the current product vision as laid-out by the Executive Team, and utilize strong technical assets and knowledge to generate the tech that best serves both the company's immediate needs as well as our 2-5 year goals.
Execution Participatory
Technical leadership is a heavily weighted portion of this position, including the technology infrastructure, architecture, design, code review, testing, and maintenance efforts with a focus on optimizing for performance and scalability.
Leadership and Team Cultivation
VP of Engineering's team management expertise, leadership and mentoring of teams will be of equal importance. This role is tasked to lead and scale a team of skilled engineers. Recruiting, hiring, and developing an incredible technology team will be key to the success of the position.
