What does a successful Java - Azure Cloud Engineer do at Fiserv?

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Developer with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services and modern frontend technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable cloud-native applications, integrating various Azure components, and delivering seamless user experiences using ReactJS.

What will you do:

• Backend Development:
• Design and develop robust APIs and microservices using Java.
• Implement secure and scalable backend solutions integrated with Azure services.

• Cloud Integration:
• Architect and deploy applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Develop serverless components using Azure Functions.
• Build and manage data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Work with Azure SQL Database for data storage and optimization.
• Manage unstructured data using Azure Blob Storage.
• Implement event-driven architecture using Azure Event Grid.
• Configure and manage Azure API Management for secure and scalable API exposure.

• Frontend Development:
• Build responsive and dynamic user interfaces using ReactJS.
• Integrate Power BI dashboards and reports into applications for data visualization.

• DevOps & Monitoring:
• Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues across environments.

What will you need to have:

• 5+ years of experience in Java development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure services: AKS, Azure Functions, ADF, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Event Grid, API Management.
• Proficiency in Python, ReactJS and frontend development.
• Experience in cloud integration.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

What would be nice if you had:

• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
