IT Manager (Enterprise Production Support)

You will be a technology manager, adding value to a gamut of software development lifecycle stages. You will not only lead production support activities like incidents, change, problem management but also manage certification support for multiple clients and monthly patching for production environments. As a part of your production support activities, you will manage on call schedules and work on weekends/holidays as needed. You will create production run books, maintain change registers, and perform impact analysis for production issues worked upon. This role requires deep technical expertise across multiple platforms, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex production environments in a highly regulated industry.
What you'll do:
- Drive production management activities such as incident change and problem management as well as lead various teams for metrics-based tracking, planning, risk & mitigation, and certification support for multiple top clients
- Implement plan reviews, change approvals in the interest of change success and hygiene along with improving resiliency and availability for your platforms.
- Manage multiple production assurance teams and own production run books, change registers, automations, improvements, and perform impact/root cause analysis for production issues.
- Serve as the technical mentor and lead to other team members.
- Ensure compliance with ITIL best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Manage change and release processes using ServiceNow.
- Proactive monitoring using tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, and Moogsoft.
- Partner with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure operational readiness.
Experience you'll need to have:
- 6+ years of experience in Unix and Windows, scheduling tools.
- 6+ years of experience in Oracle.
- 6+ years of experience in Red Hat Open shift, Kafka, ARO, PCF, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
- 6+ years of experience in production management, application/platform monitoring, on call schedule.
- 3+ years of experience with monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana and Moog Soft.
- 3+ years of experience with incidents, change and problem management and ticketing tools like Service Now, Remedy, CA Service Desk.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, military, and work experience.
Experience that would be great to have:
- Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and best practices.
- Apache, Java, J2EE, ASP.Net, JBoss, IBM HTTP Server, Microsoft IIS,
- Experience with automation and scripting languages.
- Experience and desire to work in a Global Delivery environment.
- 3+ years of experience using versioning control tools like MS Visual Source Safe (VSS), Git, and Bitbucket.
How you'll work:
- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences helps you with your overall onboarding experience and lead to stronger productivity.
- This is a full-time, direct-hire position, and no contract options for unsolicited agency submissions will be considered.
- This role requires being on-call during non-standard and/or overnight hours on a rotational basis.
- This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.
