Loan Operations Specialist

Provide general support to lending staff by maintaining loan information on mainframe computer system.

About This Role:

  • Book and service all loans within the organization
  • Process loan payments, mail payments, system rejects
  • System balancing of the new and renewed loans, payments processed by preparing general ledger entries
  • Set up escrow accounts on system
  • Maintain reconcilement, credit reporting to agencies, payoff statements and daily reports
  • Complete Board reporting and other detailed reports
  • Other Duties as assigned

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

  • Associate’s Degree in Business, Finance or related field OR equivalent work experience preferred
  • One or more years of loan operations experience preferred with previous documentation and/or servicing experience preferred
  • Superior communications skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally at all levels of the organization
  • Exhibits a high degree of professionalism
  • Maintain high degree of confidentiality and integrity
  • Excellent follow through and time management skills
  • Strong attention to details
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must exhibit good business acumen
  • Ability to multi-task and problems solve
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Must possess a can-do customer-service attitude/philosophy
