Business Solutions Engineer

We are looking to add a senior Analytics Solutions Engineer to the Business Insights & Analytics team. This role will work between data ingestion and data transformation, proactively developing and monitoring pipelines that power analytics and enable actionable insights. In this position you will contribute to building robust, scalable, and modular models to make data more reliable and accessible. This is a highly technical role where you'll be a driving force behind the analytics stack, delivering trusted data and metrics that support decision-making at all levels of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of data products and self-serve tools that enable analytics to scale across the finance organization.
• Partner with core stakeholders to identify key business questions to solve for and generate insights by developing structured solutions to resolve them.
• Translate business logic and definitions into reusable, production-grade data transformations.
• Create advanced data models and pipelines that define the flow and organization of data to support analysis requirements.
• Develop and maintain business intelligence solutions and visualizations, to provide actionable insights and support data driven decision-making.
• Optimize and automate existing data processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Employ data and software engineering best practices and uphold high data integrity standards to ensure clarity and maintainability.
• Foster a culture of innovation by exploring new tools, techniques and approaches to solve complex business challenges.

Requirements:

• 5+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering or similar analytics-focused roles.
• Strong command over SQL and modern data modeling best practices.
• Well-versed in data engineering, data architecture, and data management principles and frameworks.
• Communication and analytical skills with the ability to present creative conclusions concisely and articulate complex issues clearly.
• Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills.
• Inquisitive, enthusiastic, diligent, and capable of challenging peers.
• Ability to think critically, understand why a problem exists and develop workable solutions.
• Broad understanding of banking/finance data and its common challenges to support the ability to create effective KPIs and business solutions.
• Preferred experience with end-to-end projects in Azure, Databricks, Python, PySpark, SQL, Alteryx and Power BI.
• BS in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science or Statistics.
