The Operations Specialist I will assume, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities:
Responsible for processing incoming mail request such as account closures, certificate renewal requests, deposit and loan payments.
Responsible for completing daily remittance processing and completing manual posting.
Responsible for processing loan payments/payoffs request from internal departments.
Responsible for processing all Verification of Deposits (VOD) and return mail.
Maintain effective communication and coordination with credit union staff. Respond to internal inquiries and maintenance requests, including answering emails and supporting the Operations help desk calls.
Provide backup to other staff as needed and executes additional responsibilities as delegated.
Safeguards the security of member and internal information adhering to security policy requirements.
The successful candidate will possess the following education, knowledge and skillsets:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
Two years relevant work experience in a financial institution.
Detail oriented and accurate.
Ability to interact and consult effectively with members, staff and attorneys.
Personal computer and basic math skills.
Professional verbal and written communications skills in English.
This position is part time, Mon-Fri, up to 26 hours per week.
