Leadership Role In Quantitative Modeling

This role is on-site in Raleigh, NC. The position will provide leadership to a team of development professionals in support of the implementation of quantitative modeling in line with the bank’s overall strategy and prioritization. In addition, the role will provide leadership, direction, and controls for the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) of model and business process code.

Responsibilities

• Oversee timelines, quality assurance, and implementation testing of Financial Models and Financial Reporting code
• Participate in development and mentorship of less experienced team members
• Manage developers in the context of an agile development process.
• Design performant and maintainable technical solutions.
• Specify testing requirements, calendars, and standards for implementation work
• Set performance objectives and evaluate performance against them.
• Communicate with business stakeholders to create and prioritize development backlogs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline, with at least 2 years management/lead experience OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline, with at least 2 years management/lead experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6+ years working in an Information Technology field supporting Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or other data-intensive area
• 6+ years working with software development or software implementation
• 2+ years with Cloud Engineering Tools (e.g. Azure, Google Cloud Platform/GCP, Amazon Web Services/AWS)

Preferred Education: advanced degree, masters/PHD in quantitative field, ie mathematics, computer science, financial engineering
Preferred Area of Study: Quantitative or Statistical Analysis, Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics
Preferred Area of Experience: Banking, Financial Engineering, Computer Science
