✨ About The Role
- The Sr. Engineering Manager will work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers to shape the future of Firstbase’s products.
- This role involves managing three or more engineering teams, with at least three engineering manager direct reports.
- The candidate will be responsible for leading business-critical cross-functional initiatives while also managing their team.
- Regular one-on-one meetings with team members and skip-level meetings with indirect reports will be part of the responsibilities.
- The role includes drafting quarterly OKRs and Engineering KPIs to track team performance and productivity.
- The candidate will focus on improving product quality, security, and performance through process improvements and mentorship.
âš¡ Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience managing software development teams, demonstrating strong leadership skills.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with Golang is essential, indicating a deep technical proficiency in this programming language.
- Familiarity with AWS services, including Kubernetes, Docker, and microservice architecture, is crucial for success in this role.
- The candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field, with startup experience being highly valued.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to collaborate effectively across teams and manage diverse team members.
