Rental Sales Representative
The Cat Rental Store is currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Rental Sales Representative to join our team in Prince George. In this role, reporting directly to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for driving profitable growth by promoting and renting the specialized equipment offered by your branch. Your success will come from strategically developing your assigned territory, executing effective sales plans to expand market share, nurturing existing customer relationships, and actively contributing to the strength and visibility of The Cat Rental Stores brand. Key Responsibilities:
- Commit to continuous learning and development, particularly in the rental market.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships within the team and with other teams.
- Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events, with a focus on promoting rental services.
- Communicate new rental product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
- Prepare various status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to rental sales goals.
- Identify and resolve client concerns related to rental services, ensuring a smooth rental experience.
- Prepare presentations, proposals, and rental agreements while maintaining sales materials and current product knowledge.
- Identify rental sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
- Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity, focusing on rental opportunities.
- Present and sell rental products and services to current and potential clients, emphasizing the benefits and features of the rental fleet.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5+ of sales or marketing experience with knowledge of ground protection, construction or specialty industrial equipment
- Strong project management, new business development and customer retention skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to persuade and influence others, develop and deliver presentations, and create, compose, and edit written materials.
- Excellent customer service skills and good knowledge of rental market strategies and planning.
- Ability to apply logical thinking to a wide range of problems, collect data, draw conclusions, and offer constructive opinions concerning day-to-day rental activities.
- Understanding of construction phases, job situations, and project conditions for the timing of approaching customers and rental product application suggestions.
- Knowledgeable of the entire rental fleet and able to demonstrate equipment whenever appropriate to increase customer awareness of rental offerings and applications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and basic computer operations.
- Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques, with previous experience with CRM tools.
