Background
Finley helps innovative companies unlock growth by streamlining their access to debt capital.
In industries from finance to real estate, today's most innovative startups rely on debt capital to fuel their growth. But managing debt capital manually is so error-prone and labor-intensive that it might as well be rocket science. Debt capital borrowers need to track (and comply with) hundreds of pages of credit agreement rules and requirements in order to maintain access to their funding.
Finley’s software automates debt capital management and reporting by connecting with source systems and generating asset reports in the formats capital providers expect to see, which saves borrowers time and money as well as ensuring that they can maximize their capital access.
The Role
As our first solutions engineer, you will lead the post-sales onboarding onto Finley's platform, and work alongside our customer success, capital markets, and engineering teams to scale the way we implement customers.
We're looking for goals-driven systems thinkers eager to get their hands dirty to directly implement customers, and synthesize technical complexity to drive process, tooling and framework improvements. You will be an expert of Finley's robust set of internal tooling and systems configurations, and partner with sales and customer success to architect the next chapter of Finley's implementation process.
The ideal candidate has a technical background working with engineers and demonstrated experience in complex systems integrations, data flows, and multi-stakeholder project management.
Your responsibilities
- Work with engineering and capital markets to directly onboard new customers
- Project manage across all ongoing implementations to ensure timely coordination and unblocking amongst stakeholders
- Partner with sales, customer success and engineering to evolve Finley's implementation process
- Gain expertise with Finley's internal tooling to QA, debug and identify software investments that make implementations increasingly automated and self-serve
- Manage communications between capital markets and engineering to ensure prioritized delivery of platform and tooling upgrades
Your experience
- 3+ years experience with complex systems implementations and technical project management
- 2+ years debt/finance and Excel experiences
- Strong technical background and understanding of data transfers (ETL pipelines, APIs), data structures (JSON, S3), and technical issue-spotting
- Past experience working directly with engineers to QA, debugging, and driving software solutions/features
- Excellent project management and communication skills across multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Clear demonstration of identifying and achieving goals, owning multi-month projects from start to finish
We're looking for
- Problem-solvers. You focus on delivering outcomes and are comfortable standing up new processes from scratch
- Collaborators. You like collaborating with Business, Product, and Engineering functions. You stay intellectually honest, challenge others without ego, and believe that the best solutions only emerge when everyone brings their perspective to the table
- Systems thinkers. You enjoy the complexity of designing for a range of stakeholders (think borrowers, lenders, and banks) and source systems. You get excited about designing for the long-term
- Team-builders. You look forward to helping recruit, train, and mentor new team members at Finley
