Technical Lead

At Fightclub, we are looking for a Technical Lead who will elevate the technical quality and innovative power of one of our squads (and across the squads). Together with a Business Lead, you will form the leadership duo of the team: where the Business Lead focuses on delivery, account management, and planning, you will ensure technical excellence, innovation, and coaching.

As a Technical Lead, you will report to the Head of Technical Leads and will be evaluated based on various KPIs (performance, team skill maturity, speed and quality of implementation, innovation pace).

With your broad T-shaped digital marketing expertise, you will be the sparring partner on topics such as SEA, SEO, social, tracking, automation, and CRO. You will oversee the quality, support the squad hands-on where necessary, and stimulate continuous improvement.

Your Impact

Technical Vision & Quality Monitoring

• Monitoring technical standards and workflows (tracking, targeting, setups campaigns/formats, automation, CRO-tools, …).
• Executing and reviewing QA processes: from setups, scripts, implementations to dashboards.
• Setting up scalable and well-documented solutions within customer journeys.
• Monitoring and optimizing performance at platform, tracking, and integration level.

Innovation & Tooling

• Being at the forefront of AI-driven marketing innovation and translating this into practice.
• Exploring, testing, and implementing new tools, channels, and automations (personalization, feed management, API connections, experiment tooling etc.)
• Developing internal libraries, templates, and automation solutions.
• Advising clients and internal teams on technological opportunities to accelerate/deepen marketing results.

Team Development & Coaching

• Coaching and challenging squad members on their specializations (SEO, SEA, SoMe, tracking, automation, CRO, etc.) in best practices, troubleshooting, and personal development.
• Creating a culture of peer reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence.
• Organizing knowledge sessions, documentation, and code reviews.
• Signaling skill gaps/growth potential and contributing to Learning & Development plans.

Hands-on Support

• Assisting in complex or urgent situations where technical depth is needed.
• Acting as a technical contact within client projects.
• Collaborating with external parties (such as client technical teams).

What We Expect From You

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a digital/growth marketing specialist, preferably in an agency environment.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in people management (coaching, leading).
• Broad T-shaped digital marketing expertise, with in-depth knowledge in at least two domains.
• Actively been at the forefront of AI innovation in marketing in recent years.
• Senior knowledge level in performance & growth platforms, automation, and conversion.
• Quality monitor: eye for detail – from pixel precision to flawless tag firing.
• Mentor role: knows how to inspire people and structurally make them better.
• Problem solver: switches smoothly between strategy and operation.
• Innovator: dares to experiment and seeks smarter/more flexible ways of working.
• Communicatively strong: bridge builder between technology and business.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus.
• Residing in Belgium and entitled to work in the EU.
