Job Details
- You will work as a peripatetic member of the Supporting Learners' Service as part of the neuroinclusive support team (NST)
- You will be responsible for responding to Request for Assistance from provisions across Fife.
- You may be required to complete specific mandatory qualifications if relevant to the post applying for (Visual Impairment and Deaf Service)
- You will be responsible for your own calendar, organising meetings and observations, and creating supporting assessment and planning tools.
- You will have a sound knowledge of assistive technology that can be accessed for learners.
- You will be working with a team to develop and provide professional learning opportunities for colleagues across Fife.
- You will have a sound knowledge of additional support needs from your teaching experience.
- Travel Expenses are provided.
Qualification, Registration and Skill Requirements
- You are required to have high levels of interpersonal skills and abilities which will enable you to work as a member of the school team to support pupils and families.
- You will contribute and lead on areas school improvement.
- You are required to demonstrate a commitment to your own professional learning through career-long professional learning activity and to be able to show how this has impacted on your practice.
- Full General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) registration.
- For posts within Primary, you are required to be fully registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) in Primary.
- For posts within Secondary you are required to be fully registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) in Secondary for the specific subject.
- You are required to model all behaviour expected of a teacher in Scotland in line with the relevant Professional Standards.
- Full registration is required for all Permanent posts, for temporary class teacher posts, provisional GTCS registration in the relevant sector will be considered.
- Candidates holding GTCS registration in Further Education must also hold Primary or Secondary registration to meet the essential criteria as determined by Fife Council. For teaching specific subjects you must be fully registered with GTCS to teach those subjects.
- Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
