We are looking for a hands-on data engineer who can help us design and develop our next generation, cloud-enabled data capabilities including Data Management & Governance space.

This is an opportunity for a highly motivated Data Engineering Lead to join Enterprise Data and AI where you will contribute to powering the next generation of Fidelity's digital services through innovative solutions using the latest cloud native technologies and innovative engineering practices.

The Value You Deliver

We are looking for a seasoned Lead Data Engineer Data Management to join our growing Enterprise Data and AI – Foundation Services & Data Management Engineering Teams. The ideal candidate is experienced in next generation Data AI capabilities with Data Management experience. Candidate must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams (Client Management), systems, and products both in Cloud and on-prem. The right candidate will be excited by the prospect of optimizing or even re-designing our organization's data architecture to support our next generation of products and data initiatives and AI capabilities.

The Skills that are Key to this role

Technical / Behavioral

• Experience in building cloud native data and software engineering solutions
• Leadership, technical supervision and expertise in leading complex enterprise-wide solutions
• Expertise and hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools such as GitHub, Artifactory and Jenkins.
• Extensive knowledge in AWS services, Java, Python, REST API, and Kafka.
• Data Management & Data Governance tool stack experience
• Working and functional knowledge of one of the Data Governance/Catalog tools e.g. Collibra, Alation, Data Lineage etc.
• Knowledge and experience of building and managing cloud platforms with Kubernetes (with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement
• Hands on experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment and support.
• Excellent analytical skills to triage and resolve production issues and outages
• Experience with on-call support, resolving incidents and release management practices.
• Strong communication and influencing skills
• Very strong technical capability and passionate about learning new technologies and cloud trends
• Experience and willingness to work in globally distributed agile teams.
• Experience with Snowflake and Data Science & AI ML
• Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
• Knowledge of Logging, Telemetry and Data security on AWS/Azure

The Skills that is good to have for this role

• Certification in public cloud (Azure or AWS)
• Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Java, C++, Scala, etc. is preferred
