Finance & Operations Assistant

Fertifa is Europe's most comprehensive provider of reproductive, hormonal, and sexual health as well as neurodiversity benefits. We have a long-standing legacy of providing reproductive health and neurodiversity clinical advice in the UK and Europe to Enterprise and SMEs alike. Today, our services extend across menopause, women's and men's reproductive health, family forming and neurodiversity offering clinical and wellbeing support, educational resources, and financial assistance —all through our intuitive Fertifa app.

After acquiring Juniper Reproductive Health and a seed funding round in May 2023, we are now entering an exciting phase of growth. As we scale, we're building a team of mission-driven, high-performing individuals passionate about transforming employer-funded healthcare.

About the Role

We're looking for a Finance & Operations Assistant to join our team to support with the day-to-day running of our core processes at the heart of Fertifa and how we service our clients. Joining a growing company, you will collaborate with our Finance, People and Executive teams to keep Fertifa running and to continue to raise the bar on what a great foundation looks like. This role requires collaboration across the entire business and good communication skills. We are looking for a reliable, dynamic, and detail-oriented individual who relishes working in a fast-paced environment where they have an opportunity to make a real difference.

Who You Are

  • You have an undergraduate degree or two years of full-time work experience in an accounting or operational role
  • You have a very high attention to detail and take pride in your work to ensure minimal errors with deliverables
  • You are comfortable working with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace (including Excel, Google Sheets (or equivalent))
  • You have a logical approach to problem solving and can manage your time across multiple workstreams or projects
  • You have strong written communication and interpersonal skills
  • You are self-motivated, with a proactive, can-do attitude who enjoys collaborating with colleagues on solving problems and improving the way we work
  • You have an interest in reproductive health, wellbeing, and increase equitable access to health care

Desirable:

  • You have previous experience working in a high-growth start-up or scale-up
  • You are working towards – or have an interest in working towards - an accounting or bookkeeping qualification (e.g. AAT, CIMA, ACCA, ACA)

What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like:

Accounting & Finance:

  • Supporting our day-to-day financial transactions, including expenses and payroll whilst keeping organised records
  • Processing invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers and partners as needed
  • Supporting with onboarding with new clients across any financial due diligence required
  • Providing administrative support during budget preparation and annual audits
  • Supporting with ad-hoc data analysis across all departments

Operations:

  • Supporting with maintaining electronic employee records, including holiday and sickness leaves
  • Supporting the company with weekly and monthly meetings as well as events
  • Assisting in orders and deliveries to our office
  • Assisting with various processes (e.g. onboarding/offboarding/learning and development) across the employee lifecycle
  • Supporting the executive team with bookings, travel, and organisational matters
  • Supporting with tracking KPIs across the company

What We Offer:

  • Salary from £26,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience
