DevOps Engineer

Ferryhopper is revolutionizing online ferry booking, aiming to change the way people travel by ferry. We are collaborating with more than 180 ferry companies across 26 countries, bringing a fresh and seamless ferry booking experience. We always strive to cater to the needs of all travelers and keep improving our services.

We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to help us scale, secure, and optimize our cloud infrastructure. You'll work closely with developers and product teams to automate deployments, improve observability, and ensure our services run reliably on AWS.

Responsibilities:

• Containerize and deploy applications (Docker, serverless, microservices)
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline testing and releases
• Monitor system health and performance using AWS and Grafana, and drive cost optimizations
• Create and extend dashboards, alerts, and monitoring tools for a service-oriented view
• Troubleshoot production issues (availability, performance, errors) and perform root-cause analysis
• Manage MySQL and PostgreSQL databases (AWS managed services) — monitoring, backups, upgrades
• Implement security policies, access controls, and contribute to fixing security issues
• Collaborate on architecture and technology choices for future platform growth
