Vehicle Maintenance Job
Involves the day-to-day maintenance and effective operation of company vehicles. Provides timely, quality maintenance for FedEx vehicle fleet and Ground Support Equipment which requires preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and documentation.
General job description: Under general guidance performs the following activities:
- Performs preventive maintenance; troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications to FedEx vehicles and GSE.
- The completion of required paperwork for each assignment including VURR, VAGIS, and FAMIS documentation.
- Compiles and maintains all documents necessary to comply with Local, regulatory agencies where applicable.
- Maintains a clean, safe work area in accordance with corporate/OSHA standards.
- Interfaces with customer (FedEx employees) and vendors regarding vehicle and equipment repairs.
- Assumes responsibility for completion of project work.
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Education: High School Degree/Equivalent.
Minimum Experience: Four (4) years recent fleet, automotive, heavy equipment, or truck vehicle maintenance experience and applicable licenses/vocational training. Must possess a valid driver's license.
Minimum Required Skills:
- Knowledge of the use and operation of all automotive equipment and testing equipment, gauges, and tools normally associated with the troubleshooting and repair of industrial hydraulic, gasoline electrical, and diesel automotive equipment.
