That's where you come in. As an Analytical Scrum Master at FedEx Digital Product, you will play a pivotal role in enabling our analytics and data teams to adopt Agile methodologies, improve collaboration, and deliver high-value insights efficiently. You will serve as a servant leader, coach, and facilitator, helping cross-functional teams navigate Agile processes tailored to the unique needs of analytical projects, involving data modeling, reporting, and advanced analytics. Additionally, you will incorporate project management practices to align analytical initiatives with enterprise priorities.

The Job

As part of the Marketing Digital Insights team, we aim to step up our Analytical practices to support data driven tactical and strategic decisions. We aim to provide quality insights and advanced analytics with streamlined processes in a global mindset, building partnerships along the way. Our Analytical team would like to step up their practices in aligning with our development organization, stepping up the maturity of our agile practices. While we already have the base scrum & kanban, standardizing and professionalizing them will help our teams become more effective. You are a key enabler in this journey in supporting our teams go through this journey.

Your activities:

  • Lead stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives for analytical teams to ensure smooth Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement.
  • Guide product owners, analysts, data scientists, and (analytical) engineers in Agile best practices, fostering an Agile mindset across the analytics organization.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify bottlenecks in data workflows and implement Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid) suited for analytical project delivery.
  • Apply project management principles to plan, execute, and oversee projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope. Use project management tools to track progress and manage resources effectively.
  • Work with Project Management Offices, Architect and Finance coordinators to prioritize analytical projects that align with FedEx's strategic goals, ensuring high-value analytics initiatives are supported.
  • Act as a liaison between analytics teams, business stakeholders, and technology partners to ensure clear communication, alignment on priorities, and transparency of deliverables.
  • Track and report key Agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, etc.) to help teams optimize performance and demonstrate progress to leadership.
  • Identify and help resolve impediments, risks, and dependencies that may impact the timely delivery of analytical insights.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and experimentation to enhance team agility and analytical capabilities.
  • Support the Insights overall team activities by acting as e.g. a Culture-, Budget-, and/or Documentation/Standards Lead.

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach, preferably supporting analytics, data science, or business intelligence teams.
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and their application in analytical or data-driven environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks based on business impact.
  • Ability to translate Agile principles to complex analytical workflows and data projects.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Agile tools such as GitHub Projects, Jira, Azure Devops, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with data analytics concepts, BI tools, and data science lifecycle is a plus.
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM) and/or Project Management certification (PMP, PMI-ACP) preferred.
  • 32-40h/week and 1-2 days/week on site in Hoofddorp.
