FAAC Technologies is currently looking for an Electronic Hardware/Firmware Engineer for its headquarters in Zola Predosa, Bologna.

As an Electronic Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting Product Portfolio Department in all phases of product development, and you will be involved in electronic design activities for hardware and firmware aimed at developing electronic cards for vehicle and pedestrian access control, AC and DC electric motors, sensors and control devices, contributing to our mission to simplify and secure access globally.

Key responsibilities include identifying the technical specifications of the product, planning design and development activities, designing the electronics and coordinating any activities with external studios or testing laboratories, defining product operating algorithms, creating source codes on microcontroller and debugging, coordinating prototyping and conducting related verification and validation tests, and taking care of industrialization.

What do you need to be successful? A degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent specialization, at least 2 years in firmware or/and hardware development, knowledge of analog and digital electronic circuits, programming languages for microcontrollers as C, motor control techniques, EMC problems, fluency in Italian and English, interest in investigating and resolving all product related issues, from conception to production, beyond the purely electronic aspects, and an attitude to work towards objectives and the ability to integrate within a work group.
