Job Description
As a Senior Consultant focused on FATCA, CRS, QI, and other exchange of information regimes introduced by EU Directives, you will be integrated in the Tax team focused on Financial Services sector and help clients enhance their tax functions by reducing inefficiencies, mitigating risks, and seizing opportunities. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a comprehensive range of tax services tailored to FATCA, CRS, QI, DAC6, and DAC7 compliance for clients in the financial services sector (Banking, Insurance, Capital Markets, Asset Management) with a commitment to efficiency and quality.
- Assist in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive tax policies and procedures specifically addressing FATCA and CRS requirements, ensuring alignment with local and global regulations;
- Provide detailed tax reporting, analysis, and validation services, focusing on compliance with DAC6 and DAC7 reporting obligations;
- Define, develop, and implement effective tax and reporting solutions that comply with both local and global regulations, including risk assessment frameworks for FATCA and CRS;
- Support the establishment, monitoring, evaluation, and interpretation of tax data, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with international tax standards;
- Aid in the implementation of key regulatory requirements and guidelines related to FATCA, CRS, QI, DAC6, and DAC7, keeping clients informed of changes in legislation and best practices;
- Identify risks and opportunities for improvement within tax functions, particularly in relation to compliance and reporting processes;
- Support team management and contribute to a collaborative work environment, ensuring that all team members are informed of regulatory changes and compliance requirements;
- Build and maintain professional and trusting relationships with clients and colleagues, fostering a flexible and team-oriented culture;
- Mentor and coach junior team members, leading by example and sharing best practices;
- Understand EY's service lines and actively explore ways to enhance client service, particularly in the context of international tax compliance.

Qualifications
- Academic background in Law, Tax, Business, Economics, or related fields;
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years of professional experience in a Tax/Compliance role, primarily within Financial Services;
- Strong understanding of local and global tax requirements;
- Experience working in multicultural projects and environments;
- Fluent in both Portuguese and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
