The Financial Services Risk Management (FSRM) group at EY is a part of the Consulting group and provides risk management support to banks, insurance companies, and asset management firms. Our team includes professionals in the sectors, client relations, and products, as well as those in quantitative analysis, regulation, project management, and technology. You will work together with our teams to coordinate the delivery of risk management, regulatory, and performance services to a diverse clientele, including commercial banks, investment banks, securities brokers, asset management firms, insurance companies, and energy trading firms, among others.

We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced senior advisor/team lead – integrated risk management, ServiceNow, who has a comprehensive understanding of ServiceNow technology and solid experience in development. The ideal candidate should have more than five years of experience in designing and implementing ServiceNow solutions, as well as specialized expertise in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC). The holder of this position must be a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate positive outcomes.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Design, develop, and implement integrated risk management (IRM) solutions for clients on the ServiceNow platform, ensuring alignment with operational requirements and stakeholder objectives.
  • Provide expert advice on best practices related to ServiceNow IRM, ensuring adherence to industry standards and ServiceNow implementation best practices.
  • Define and document the architecture of ServiceNow IRM solution implementations, oversee their deployment, and ensure they meet stakeholder objectives.
  • Develop and maintain the architecture and design of solutions that support stakeholder objectives, ensuring compliance with ServiceNow implementation best practices.
  • Evaluate ServiceNow improvements and their complexity through requests or projects, conducting technical assessments of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Collaborate with business partners, architects, and other teams to identify and address complex technical and functional needs of systems.
  • Establish and recommend modifications to development standards, including design and coding standards, to improve the overall quality and maintainability of the platform.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship during the development of platform-wide platforms and solutions, ensuring that implementations are robust, scalable, and maintainable.
  • Lead the implementation of GRC processes for technology enablement initiatives, leveraging your advice and expertise to benefit team members and stakeholders.
  • Participate in service offerings and responses to RFPs and RFIs, including the preparation of project plans and schedules and resource allocation.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings, effectively communicating complex ideas and promoting technological solutions.
  • Work autonomously and efficiently within tight deadlines, consistently delivering high-quality results and meeting critical milestones.
  • Apply Agile delivery methods and the software development lifecycle to manage project life cycles, ensuring the timely and successful completion of projects.

Competencies and qualities to succeed:

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the ServiceNow platform and apply your knowledge.
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to ask relevant questions to identify opportunities with clients.
  • Exhibit excellent communication, presentation, and technical writing skills to describe ideas, concepts, and issues requiring interpretation, analysis, and evaluation of complex subjects.
  • Be available to travel on short notice to meet client needs.

To be eligible for this position, you must have:

  • A university degree in finance, computer science, information systems, mathematics, engineering, or a related discipline;
  • At least five years of experience working with the ServiceNow platform, particularly in the field of IRM;
  • More than three years of experience in designing, architecting, and implementing ServiceNow IRM solutions and having a solid understanding of the ServiceNow IRM model, plug-ins, and accelerators, as well as experience with IT service management solutions, IT operational management, and their integration;
  • Mastery of JavaScript, HTML, AngularJS, AJAX, CSS, and JSON; and a deep understanding of the ServiceNow configuration management database structure and data model;
  • A solid knowledge of ServiceNow platform components, including custom business rules, client scripts, including UI policies, Flow Designer solution, UI builder tool, state-based application programming interfaces adhering to the representative state transfer architectural design pattern based on script, access control lists, and their integration;
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards;
  • Previous consulting experience is an asset, as is knowledge of Agile and software development lifecycle methods;
  • Fluency in French and English (excellent asset).

Ideally, you also have:

  • The ability to work independently, think differently, and embrace new challenges with enthusiasm;
  • Strong technical expertise in ServiceNow and a deep understanding of risk management frameworks;
  • The ability to navigate complex environments and lead strategic initiatives to improve organizational risk management capabilities.
