The opportunity: As a Data Management & Analytics Support – Sr. Associate, you will be part of the Data Strategy team, supporting data management, data quality, and analytics initiatives for Clients & Industries' (C&I) products and select EY-wide data assets.

This role focuses on the operational execution and support of data management activities, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, availability, and usability across disparate systems, including cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure. You will work closely with Supervising Associates and team leads to support analytics use cases, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day data management and data quality activities across multiple systems and platforms.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.
  • Assist in managing and maintaining data for Clients & Industries groups' products across on-premise and cloud-based environments.
  • Support the ingestion, transformation, and preparation of data for analytics, reporting, and downstream consumption.
  • Help monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, batch jobs, and integrations, escalating issues as needed.
  • Assist in managing data and metadata, including maintaining data definitions, mappings, and documentation.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and analytical outputs using standard analytics tools.
  • Work with senior team members to extract data from various EY tools and prepare it for analysis and insights.
  • Apply established data governance, privacy, GDPR, and information security guidelines while handling data.
  • Support data-related queries from internal stakeholders and assist in resolving data discrepancies.
  • Contribute to analytics use cases by performing basic data analysis, trend identification, and summary insights.
  • Assist with testing and validation activities during system changes, enhancements, or cloud migrations.
  • Document data processes, quality issues, and operational procedures to support continuous improvement.
  • Stay aware of emerging data, analytics, and cloud technologies relevant to the team's work.

Skills and attributes for success:

  • Strong interest in data management, data quality, and analytics.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to identify data issues and follow structured resolution processes.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adopt new tools, technologies, and AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Good problem-solving skills with a practical, execution-focused mindset.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain data-related topics to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative and adaptable approach when working across teams and functions.

Technical expertise:

  • Working knowledge of SQL for data validation, querying, and analysis.
  • Exposure to Python or similar scripting languages for basic data manipulation (preferred).
  • Experience or familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Spotfire).
  • Understanding of data management concepts, including data quality, data lifecycle, and metadata.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure and related services (e.g., Azure Data Factory).
  • Basic understanding of data models, data structures, and analytics workflows.
