The Assistant Director — Content is a general content role with high levels of expertise in multiple areas of the content specializations. The role holder excels in delivering high-impact, purpose-driven, on-brand, compelling content that helps EY win bigger and better in the marketplace. They also generally perform writing, editing and editorial management activities, and manage large teams and projects.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Drive the delivery of high-quality, market-leading content services
- Create external and internal B2B content, including newsletters, mailers, EY news articles, videos, posters, flyers, and brochures
- Edit content to ensure quality, consistency and alignment with EY's purpose and editorial strategy
- Repurpose content to meet the needs of the readership
- Provide content and editorial management support for high-visibility EY programs and campaigns
- Suggest improvements to the tone and structure of the content
- Review work of other writers and editors, and provide objective unbiased feedback
- Liaise with stakeholders and design teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery of projects
- Ensure the content is compliant with EY legal guidelines
- Collaborate with design teams to ensure that content and design complement each other
- Ensure that customers receive the highest quality deliverables
- Lead and manage multiple creative projects
- Develop, maintain and promote great relationships and high levels of engagement with stakeholders
Skills and attributes for success include:
- Astute understanding of content strategy and principles, evolving digital communications, and business sensibility
- Excellent communication (comprehension, verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and persuade
- Up-to-date on trends, developments and best practices in the content space in the market
- Adept in creating engaging, inspiring and persuasive B2B content
- Ability to understand and articulate complex business ideas in an engaging, audience-friendly style
- Proficient in building relationships of confidence and trust with all senior agency personnel
- Skilled in building relationships of confidence and trust with all senior Agency personnel
- Exceptional attention to detail
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in English literature or mass communications
- At least 12 years of related experience
Ideally, you'll also have:
- Publishing house or Big Four experience
- Aptitude and willingness to continually expand your core skillset
Technologies and tools include:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat/PDF-XChange
- Knowledge in Project Management tools and methods

- Have worked with global clients
- Are comfortable writing about complex business ideas and concepts
- Have written for C-suites and boards
- Understand complex business concepts with ease
- Are outstanding at grammar, usage and convention
- Creativity and problem skills, high levels of resourcefulness
- Focused on continuous learning and improvement
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, timeline-driven environment – managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
