Staff Java Engineer - Full Stack

Architect, design, and develop scalable, high-performance backend systems using Java and AWS.

Build and maintain cloud-native microservices and API-driven platforms (REST/GraphQL).

Contribute to end-to-end solution design across backend services and frontend integrations.

Ensure system reliability, performance, scalability, and observability in production.

Collaborate with Product, Business, and cross-functional teams on solution design and delivery.

Participate in code and design reviews to ensure quality and best practices.

Work with frontend teams to define API contracts and integration patterns.

Ensure stable production operations with focus on uptime, performance, and reliability.

Contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10 years of software development experience with strong Java backend expertise.
• Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and API development.
• Experience with AWS (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, ECS/EKS or similar services).
• Good understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and messaging systems (Kafka/SQS).
• Strong knowledge of data design and databases (SQL and NoSQL).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, build tools, and version control (Jenkins, Git, Docker).
• Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, TDD, Cucumber, performance testing tools).
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Splunk, Datadog, etc.).
• Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, patterns, and secure coding practices.
• Contribute to technical design decisions and architecture discussions.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Basic understanding of modern frontend frameworks (React/Angular).
• Ability to collaborate with frontend teams and understand UI/API integration.
• Familiarity with SPA concepts and API-driven UI integrations.
